The Chains of Vaul are a series of enormous, interlinked roots the size of small mountains that jut out of the forest of Athel Loren like the ribs of a giant. The tree they once belonged to is long gone, but it must have dwarfed even the Oak of Ages.[1a] The roots are named after the Elven smith god Vaul.
