Beaquis is considered the greatest living Hippogryph. He is a bizarre amalgam of raptor and Horse, with a greater wingspan and a bulkier, more powerful body than any Pegasus. Indeed, where Pegasi soar across the skies with an acrobat's grace, Beaquis plunges through the air like a Galleon crashing through breakers.[1][2]
Such is the bond that King Louen shares with Beaquis, that the noble Grail Knight does not feel complete unless he is riding into battle atop the ferocious beast. The very sight of Beaquis is enough to remind the King of past wars and great victories...[1]
