In the Battle of the Monoliths fought in the Chaos Wastes in 2510 IC, the thirteenth Everchosen Archaon crushed a combined force consisting of Kislevites, troops from the Empire, and Dwarfs, commanded by Arch Lector Kurt Mannfeld of Nuln, who had gathered the army to eradicate Archaon as ordered by his god Sigmar.[1a][2a][3a]
Archaon, aided by the Norscan mercenaries of the Bearmen of Urslo, utterly defeated the army of the warrior-priest and persuaded the shattered man to acknowledge the rule of Chaos, claiming victory over Sigmar, the patron god of the Empire.[1a][2a][3a]
