Bastino Batta is the householder of the Batta family, one of the most powerful families in the city-state of Verezzo in the sunny land of Tilea.[1a][2a]
Member of the Reds party is growing increasingly popular amongst the merchant princes of Verezzo undermining the dominance of the Yellows.[2a]
History[]
Dadallo, later leader of the Birdmen of Catrazza, fell through the roof of their country house during one of his early attempts to fly. The fact that he ended up in the mistress of the house's bathtub and killed the captain of the bodyguard - who was also in this bathtub at the time - earned him the hostility of the family and imprisonment on the top floor of the leaning tower of Verezzo.[1a]
Dadallo, as is known, escaped from his dungeon with a working version of his wings and then founded his legendary regiment.[1a]
