Arcanadon

Arcanadon carrying the Engine of the Gods (conversion by Neil Langdown).[1c]

The Arcanadon, or Arcanodon[1b], is a nigh-extinct and mysterious species that haunts the deepest jungles of Lustria.[2a][3a]

Overview[]

The mighty Arcanodon are rare beasts of the deep jungles of Lustria, who are used to carry the Engines of the Gods on their backs.[1b] They are said to be akin to a Stegadon. They were first deployed in millennia by Tehenhauin during the Siege of Quetza.[1a]

The energies unleashed by the Engine are terrifying to behold, as it is the charge of the beast that bears it. The combination of both effects is often more than the enemy can withstand. When fighting, Arcanodon pay no heed to threats from other creatures, as so few are any real threat to them.[1b]

Trivia[]

  • The Arcanadon was the original creature that carried the Engine of the Gods, when it first appeared in "Warhammer Campaigns: Lustria" in the 6th Edition. At this time, the only official representation was a conversion made by Neil Langdown.[1c] From the 7th Edition onwards, even if the Arcanadon was still mentioned in passing[2a][3a], the Engine of the Gods became a weapon option for the Ancient Stegadon.[2b][3b]
