Arabian Desert Riders Araby Warmaster Miniatures

Arabyan Desert Riders (Warmaster).

The deep deserts of Araby are home to fierce, nomadic Desert Riders. Known as Akincis in their own tongue, these warriors are the best light cavalry in all the land.[2]

Overview

The cities of the coast also maintain bodies of light cavalry for scouting and patrols - but all agree the Riders of the Desert are the finest and most dashing. Mounted atop the swiftest steeds, they are skilled lancers, skirmishers and horse-archers.[1a][2]

Trivia

  • Arabyan Akincis are based on the Akinjis, an irregular cavalry division within the Ottoman Empire that was responsible for guerilla warfare, scouting and harassment that excelled in the 14th to 16th centuries within the Empire.
