The Apple of Kislev is a stunningly beautiful piece of jewellery and is the traditional symbol of the ruler of Kislev. The Tzar or Tzarina may give it to his or her representative, increasing the fortunate Boyar or General's status. The ruler him/herself may also carry it into battle.[1a]
