Anthelme’s heraldry prior to becoming Duke of Quenelles.[2a]

Anthelme of Austray was the Duke of Quenelles, Earl of Cuileux and one of the Companions of Quenelles. He succeeded Tancred as Duke after his death during the opening days of the End Times.

History[]

Anthelme was Duke Tancred's cousin and one of his closest companions, even beyond the bounds of blood. For he had fought and bled beside his Duke in defence of Quenelles during the Bretonnian Civil War, and his cousin believed there was nobody better with a lance or sword.[1]

Anthelme, alongside his other cousin Jerrod, had accompanied Tancred and his knights to hunt a group of Beastmen. This hunt, however, would evolve into a battle against an undead horde led by none other than Heinrich Kemmler and Arkhan the Black. Unbeknownst to Anthelme and his companions, the duo were leading an undead army to La Maisontaal Abbey, hoping to recover the Staff of Nagash that lay within. Anthelme and Jerrod fought at the forefront beside their Duke, the host of knights spearing into the undead hordes like a silver lance. Alas, during the height of the fighting, both Anthelme and Jerrod's mounts became overcome by an aura of dread, and drove them away from their liege. By the time Anthelme had regained control of his mount, it was too late, Tancred had fallen and he was now christened as the Duke of Quenelles.[1]

Anthelme rode to Castle Brenache, where he met up with Jerrod and the Companions of Quenelles. He led them into battle for several years as the End Times unfolded, until his own death during the Siege of Altdorf, where he fell victim to a plague-stained blade.[1]
