"And he did smite and destroy his enemies with great vengeance and furious anger."
- —Translations from inscriptions in the tomb of King Amenemhetum of Zandri.[1d]

Location of the Tomb of Amenemhetum and his ancient Nehekharan domains in what is now Tilea and the Border Princes during the reign of King Alcadizaar the Conqueror of Khemri, ca. -1200 IC.[1a]
Amenemhetum the Great, also renowned as the "Vulture Lord," was a general and later a great priest-king of the Nehekharan city-state of Zandri who led the armies of Nehekhara to expand across the Black Gulf into the lands of what is now Tilea. He later served as an Undead naval protector of the Land of the Dead's coastlines after becoming a Tomb King in the wake of the liche Nagash's great awakening ritual.[1b]
History[]
Origins[]
Amenemhetum led his fleets across the Black Gulf and conquered large parts of what is now Tilea in the name of his patron, Ualatp the Vulture God.[1b] Amenemhetum led additional campaigns to conquer the Borderlands between the Black Mountains and the Black Gulf, drawing on ambitious generals like Karitamen the Death Scarab. More than perhaps anyone else, Karitamen was instrumental helping Amenemhetum carry out his conquests.[2a]
Amenemhetum was pleased with Karitamen's service, and he granted the young war leader dominion over the western half of their conquered lands. These became the Death Scarab's own kingdom, a new city-state, and he became a vassal priest-king under the rule of Amenemhetum, who in turn paid his own homage to the ruler of the city-state of Khemri.[2a]
But when civil strife struck the Death Scarab's domains on those lands, Amenemhetum refused to intervene in such petty domestic disputes. He desired order and obedience more than love and happiness, and Karitamen's tithes were still paid in a timely fashion. When pressed by several irate nobles, Amenemhetum finally stated Karitamen was free to act however he chose within his own domain, provided any problems did not spill over and affect his lands as well.[2a]
So great were Amenemhetum's exploits that his tomb was not built in Nehekhara, but was instead built on the land he had conquered, far up the coast from Zandri, outside of the current borders of Nehekhara, although it is no longer occupied. The tomb is on the very edge of that land, closest to the places he loved so much in the south of what is now Tilea.[1a]
As a Tomb King[]
Little remains in Amenehmhetum's former conquered lands at present to indicate Nehekharan civilisation ever existed there, much less ruled over them.[2a]
In 1175 IC, the fleets of Amenemhetum the Great, sent northwards by Settra, were met in battle by the Bretonnian admiral Henri Lamorte of L'Anguille at Savage Point. The Undead fleets were defeated and repelled.[3a]
Today, as an Undead Tomb King, Amenehmhetum is content with being a ruler over the oceans, leading his fleets in raids across the seas, content to fight pirates who attempt to raid the coasts of his homeland.[1b]
Wargear[]
- Standard of the Sands - Created for Amenehmhetum when he was a general, this standard was capable of magically summoning a raging storm of sand, disorienting Amenehmhetum's foes and allowing his troops to advance quickly.[1c]
Trivia[]
The inscription quoted above that was found in the tomb of King Amenemhetum of Zandri in what is now Tilea state, "And he did smite and destroy his enemies with great vengeance and furious anger." This is a tribute to the fake Ezekiel 25:17 Old Testament scripture quoted by Samuel L. Jackson's character in the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction.
