House Udolpho's estate was located in the hamlet of Udolpho in northern Tilea in the Principality of Miragliano. However, during the period when this map was created in ca. 2276 IC, Udolpho was still part of the Principality of Tobaro.
Ambrosio Udolpho is a member of the House of Udolpho, a Tilean noble house with an estate of the same name in the Principality of Miragliano.[1b][1c]
Ambrosio is a former priest of the Cult of Ranald expelled from his order for an excess of vices. Among his perversions is not only the abuse of the maids of the estate, but also animals such as pigs.[1b][1c]
Clarimonde Udolpho, his wife, and cousin, was purportedly kidnapped by bandits. She lefted his husband with their daughter who seems to be not part of the Curse of Udolpho.[1e]

Several times in past centuries, Udolpho brothers have married their sisters, and cousins have married cousins, simply to keep the blood pure,but due to "the curse" repeatedly rewriting the memories of the Udolphos as to how they are related, and the fact that outsiders can be absorbed into the family by the same curse, it is impossible to create a precise family tree of the House Udolpho.[1a][1d]
