Oglah Khan, a Hobgoblin mercenary captain hired by Alphonso's rival, has always shown what could at best be considered questionable loyalty in honoring his contracts, which presented an opportunity for Alphonso to manipulate the situation to his advantage. With a territorial skirmish between the two Tilean rulers looming, Alphonso planned to utilise a band of adventurers as persuasive allies to convince Oglah Khan to betray his current employer.[1a]
