The powerful Alfeo Romeo is one of the current three Triumvirs of Remas, together with Imelda Mondo and Marco Telli. His mandate, as per the city-state's law, will last only one year.[1a][3a]
History[]
Alfeo Romeo was a young man from Remas who commissioned the mercenaries of the Birdmen of Catrazza to free his beloved Isabella Dellecta from the leaning tower of Catrazza. Her parents locked her there in order to force her to marry an old and cruel merchant by the name of Grobbo from Miragliano. Dadallo and his Birdmen managed to free the young woman, although the tower was guarded by a troop of crossbowmen.[1a]
The story between the two lovers mirrors the classic Tilean romance: The doomed love of Romero and Juliana of Remas.[2a]
Trivia[]
Alfeo Romeo's name is a pun about the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo and Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet with which Alfeo shares the story of his troubled love. Even the enmity between Miragliano and Remas mirrors the two families' hate in the original play.
