"And so did impassive Lord Tlazcotl raise the shrine-spire atop his greatest temple, wherein resides the great Adohi-Tehga, his devoted Mage-Priest of the Second Spawning. So it was then, as it is now and evermore.[1a]"

—Anonymous

Adohi-Tehga is a Lizardman Slann mage-priest of the Second Spawning. He resides in the Great Temple of the Old One Tlazcotl, to whom he is devoted, in the Lustrian temple-city of Tlaxtlan.[1b][2a] He was an impossibly old being of immense power, importance and bodily girth, and a great lunamancer and reader of the stellar signs.[3a]

History[]

Origins[]

Adohi-Tehga was created during the Second Spawning of Slann[1b][2a], and only Mazdamundi of Hexoatl was older than him.[3a]

During the Great Catastrophe, Adohi-Tehga repelled the Daemons besieging Tlaxtlan after weeks of battle, and then lent his power to protecting the remaining cities and ensuring the Geomantic Web did not collapse utterly.[1a]

At some point in the last century, he granted the Palanquin of Constellations to the Skink Chief Astromancer Tetto'eko, and taught him the incantations necessary to make it rise.[2b]

The outsiders' arrival has been weighing on Adohi-Tehga's mind in recent days. It is obvious to him they have a part in the Great Plan, but what this may be eludes him. He has set scouts to watch Skeggi and Skink scribes to learn the outsiders' language, while he seeks answers from the orbit of the White Moon. Some among the other races who come to Lustria describe a feeling of being watched, of an enormous intellect brushing against their dreams, threatening to engulf all that they are.[6a]

Mundizuma's Revenge[]

"Mundizuma is blessed by the Old Ones. A Chaos horde he will kill. Save our temple he will."

—Lord Adohi-Tehga[5a]

An inept Skink called Mundizuma, marked as sacred by his albino colouring, once questioned Adohi-Tehga about the reason for the Old Ones to single him out. The Slann, after a lengthy silence, eventually proclaimed Mundizuma will be responsible for the killing of a Chaos horde. When such a horde came, Mundizuma went to attack the invaders on his own, and was easily killed by their leader, who roastsed him and feed his flesh to his warriors. Nevertheless, Adohi-Tehga's prophecy is fulfilled, as Mundizuma's body was highly poisonous.[5a]

End Times[]

"Lord Mazdamundi has called Exodus. Awaken the Opener of the Ways, send for the Golden-crested spawning."

—Lord Adohi-Tehga[3a]

When Lord Mazdamundi declared Exodus for the Lizardmen upon perceiving the Great Plan of the Old Ones had failed, Lord Adohi-Tehga's mind wandered far, moved by ancient visions implanted in his mind from even before the founding of the world.[3a]

As the Mage-priest’s eyes closed, his mystic sight circumnavigated the globe, penetrating cloud, mountain and illusion alike. The Slann saw just what Lord Mazdamundi had foretold: the only kingdoms not beset by war had already been ravaged by it. Armies beyond count were on the march and everywhere the power of Chaos grew, like the tentacles of some great beast slowly enwrapping the entire planet.[3a]

After surveying the situation and the heavenly portents above every race's realms, he sensed the lure of Chaos and the power of Morrslieb over Lustria. With this, he confirmed Mazdamundi's assessment and called for the Opener of the Ways, a golden-crested Skink, to activate the temple-pyramid's Exodus Engines.[3a]

This measure seems to not have been successful, as the Great Temple of Tlazcotl still rose above Tlaxtlan when the Skaven destroyed the city. By then, Adohi-Tehga had fallen again in a catatonic state due to the extenuating effort to ward off the meteorites plummeting from Morrslieb. In the end, Tetto'eko ordered the evacuation of the city, and he was carried away from his temple. He awoke again then[4a], but his final fate remains unknown.
