I pity them. I understand why they have to die, but I consider their deaths mercy kills, even if they are public executions. It's for their own good.
Well I was thinking they'd be intrigued or amused by the attemptions of mortals to rid a person of their "gift" so turning him into an abomination or crazed beast that just went berserk and started killing everyone if the treatment went either way would cause some... chaos amongst them. It could prove the religious fanatics right in their judgment to hunt down the guy that tried to find the cure, cause civil unrest if the news of such a failed experiment got out, generally do all sorts of things to try and mess it all up. Tzeentch would like it for sure
Well, since the mutant didn't dabble with Chaos in purpose, that would mean they are innocent. And if they are innocent that means the cure gives them the chance to become part of civilized society again! Of course the people shouldn't know the person's identity, I can't imagine they would like an ex-mutant being their neighbor...
I beg to differ with that thought. Reikwald Max, Karl Hoche and the town of Uesin are all proof that not all mutants that receive mutations are evil, nor do they become evil after that, at least not until it reaches their brain and changes their psychology. So only on such people, that really want to get rid of mutations, and that aren't yet turned completely over to Chaos can that cure really work.
