This is something I find to be a bit of an inconsistancy with the lore....
They do. If you look at a map of Athel Loren and the surrounding area, there is Bretonnia in the north and west. The mountains to the east and south are called the Grey Mountains. That is where the Wood Elves get their metal from.
bro elves wount leave the forest unless provoked
and the gray montains has trolls orcs and greenskins
and on top of it The grey montains belong to the dwarves
lol just imagin trying to convince a Dwarf to let an ELF mine HIS mountains!!! No way in hell You are more likely to se an Orc teaching Democracy at a University
It's diplomacy democracy is a type of government where people elect there leaders diplomacy is where you talk instead of fight in war
bro thanks for the "correction" but I know what i was saying....the irony was in the fact that orc society is a meritocracy where only the biggest and badest get to leader positions....so an orc teaching democracy to other students would be funny to see
Hold on, wood elves are not incapable of mining (are they?) They just don't go all "industrial" about it.
Also iron is not only, or rather not necesarily in the mountains, maybe they have access to ore veins somewhere within their domains. Of which some parts are mountain areas as well.
So there's probably no need for mining carts and such, the kind of mining that we would consider normal. They maybe do it in a rather "bronze age" fashion.
well yes it seems plausible....bur again thes areas are full of dangerous creatures and another thing to concider : time flows diferently in the forest so if a bunch of wood elves go out to get metal at the botom of a montain when they get back hundreds of years may have passed
What do you think?
